T and A Do Thanksgiving

Apparently Australia does not celebrate Thanksgiving, but WE DO!

Soo we hosted our first Thanksgiving!
Yep using the couch as extra chairs.

Table set, Turkey on the grill, soo good!

A perfect turkey!
First try, no big deal...

A homemade feast all from scratch!
Mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, stuffing, gravy, turkey, calamari, shrimp, green beans, sausage, cranberry sauce...

And friends!
5 Americans, 2 Ausies, 2 Frenchies, and 1 English.

Dinner done, time for desert, pumpkin pie and carrot cake!

All done!  Time to relax on the balcony with some wine.

A great Oz Thanksgiving!

Britt & Sara come to visit.....a few months ago!

Apologizes to my brother- in law and future sister in law - for the late post! But better late than never!

Welcome to a land down under!

Day 1- Let's go whale watching
 I see them!
The waves were rough, I hope they didn't get sea sick like the rest of the boat did!

Day 2 - Britt's birthday! Happy 28th Birthday Britt

A surprise cheese cake from Sara!

Day 3- Britt and Sara get engaged!  She said yes! Congrats

What a fun celebration at a very chilly restaurant

Overlooking the Sydney Bridge, great views!

Onto - our typical Sydney hike.

Watch out Sara!

That is better!  What a cute couple

Onto sibling rivalry - Who can do the most dips!
Looks like Britt is winning....

End of the visit- Palm Beach!
Thanks for coming to visit Britt & Sara- we will see you soon

T and A Go Island Hopping! But to what Island?

Yep, FIJI soo gorgeous, and yes they drink Fiji water in Fiji!!!
We apologize in advance for this post to the people in the tri-state area that read our blog.
Life is good down under!

Our thoughts and prayers are with your friends and families and our middle fingers are with Sandy.

Stayed at the Intercontinental awesome first class resort!!

Resort classy, T and A not soo much...
It's no tambourine, but it will do...

BULA!!
Means Welcome!

This is going to be a good 4 days....

A little golf, don't mind if we do....
Really tough course lost about 12 balls on 9 holes...
On this one I actually hit the ball straight, but it landed in a pond, luckily a local boy was in said pond and found my ball, Fiji was a little random that way.

And now a horse just wandering on to the tee box...

T lining up her winning shot...

Yes, T won, and she was very excited!

No pro golfing, but maybe paddle board?

 Much better outcome...

After all of this activity it's pool time!

Ok bath time! Yep bath tub on the balcony!
Thank you Intercontinental very much!

Yeah  just hanging out in the trees at sunset.

Tree time over, fire show time!
Every sun down there was a fire ceremony.
Happy Hour and a fire show hard to beat!

 T makes a friend...
After touching the frog T was not feeling well, but there was hope...

Locals recommended wine and turtle beer, Vonu!
A good end to a great trip!

T and A Go Wine Tasting

We headed to "The Hunter"  one of the wine regions of Ausie land.
2 1/2 hours outside of Sydney, but a long way from the "hustle and bustle" of the city.
We headed out for a weekend of opera and wine tasting.  You stay classy blog reader...

And welcome to the Hunter Valley!  Beautiful day!!

We stayed in the Monet room at a local B&B, only the best for T&A

Our first tasting!  And it was a good one!

T enjoying life at Pepper Tree Winery.  Some dude flew in here in a chopper, we took Hyundei

The Hunter country side, just beautiful.  The region is known for Semillion and Shiraz, but they do a few other varieties very nicely.  If you like sweeter wine you LOVE the Hunter wine.

Next stop Lakes Folly, awesome wine, but pricey...

Now this place has got to be cheaper to buy at!

OK enough joking around time to get classy!  On to the Opera in the vineyard!!

A little sparkling a little opera, sound good to me and to T!

A very classy night indeed.  Beautiful music, beautiful setting!

And as the sun sets a great weekend!!
